The species bears very thin longitudinal threads along the keel, mostly visible near the extremities; the valves bear a rough sculpture, especially on the flanks where the granules are more irregularly scattered, most of them being dark coloured. Above and below: a large specimen from 55m deep, Saronic Gulf, SW. Aegean. 9,3mm. The longitudinal threads are less discernible than usually.
