Shell solid, cyrtoconoidal, with slightly convex whorls separated from each other by a small suture; presence of a marked subsutural ramp only in the two last whorls. Sculpture made up of about 7 spiral cords per whorl, the adapical ones being close-set, the supersutural ones being stronger and more widely separated; the traditional prosocline growth streaks appear between the spirals. The spiral cord of the periphery is, as often, smooth and large. The base is convex, adorned ut supra. Aperture subcircular, large, like in ruscurianus but not such angulose.
